Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana is openly urging Senate Republican leadership to move more aggressively as Congress races toward a series of critical legislative deadlines.
During an appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday, Kennedy offered a blunt assessment of Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s approach to negotiations over government funding and other Republican priorities.
“I think he’s just being too cautious,” Kennedy said.
