BREAKING: Cole Family Statement

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

The story took another dramatic turn when FBI Director Kash Patel posted an unfiltered statement on X, describing just how broken the case was before the new administration arrived.

Patel wrote “When Dan Bongino and I came to the FBI in March, the pipe bomb investigation had been stalled for going on 5 years. We rebuilt it from scratch – re-running every lead, re-testing every piece of evidence, bringing in top experts, and deploying new technology to engineer the break that finally nailed the suspect. Today is result of that outstanding work. We didn’t need new evidence – just new leaders, and a new President @realDonaldTrump willing to let good cops be cops.”

The message echoed what many conservatives have believed for years. The Biden era FBI was either asleep at the wheel or uninterested in solving one of the most high profile domestic terror attempts in recent political history.

Co Deputy Director Dan Bongino did not hold back either. In a forceful statement, he blasted Biden era leadership for prioritizing politics over public safety.

Bongino said “You’re not going to walk into our capital city, put down two explosive devices, and walk off into the sunset. Not going to happen — we were going to track this person to the end of the Earth. There was no way he was getting away.”

He confirmed that one of the first steps he took was assembling a multiagency investigative team to re examine evidence that had been long ignored. According to the criminal complaint, that evidence paints a damning picture. Cole allegedly purchased the same pipe sizes, endcaps, Walmart kitchen timers, wiring, steel wool, and batteries used in the IEDs. Records show those purchases occurred repeatedly between 2019 and 2020 and even after January 6th.

Even more striking, Cole’s cellphone showed seven data transactions on January 5th within the exact time and location range of the bomber as seen on surveillance footage. Cameras caught the individual placing the DNC device at 7:54 PM and the RNC device at 8:16 PM which lines up perfectly with the tower hits logged on Cole’s phone.

As news broke nationwide, Cole’s relatives stepped forward offering a sharply different portrait of the accused.

His grandmother Loretta insisted to The New York Post “He’s almost autistic-like because he doesn’t understand a lot of stuff. I hope he is not talking.” She continued “He’s very naive…He would not hurt a fly. He’s just not that kind of person. I don’t believe this at all. He’s not a terrorist.”

Loretta told reporters that Cole worked at the family’s bail bonds business and did not have any known connection to Washington DC. She said she has no idea why investigators believe he could be involved.

Cole’s step grandfather Earl Donnette confirmed to NBC News that he had spoken with federal agents but declined further comment. NBC also reported that investigators had blocked off the entrance to Cole’s father’s business as part of their search.

A neighbor offered yet another glimpse into Cole’s private world telling The New York Post “He’s very antisocial. Very. He keeps to himself.”

The investigation continues to unfold but one thing is already clear. The Trump era FBI has shown more progress in months than the Biden administration managed in years which raises a serious question. Was this case mishandled for political reasons or simply ignored until real leadership forced accountability.

Either way, the public is finally getting answers and the suspect’s own family is bracing for what comes next.
