Parents are incensed by a new Biden administration policy that threatens to withhold lunch money from schools that disobey new sexuality and gender regulations.
The Center Square claims that in order to keep federal tax money from the Department of Agriculture, the White House’s leftist educational agenda must be adhered to.

The USDA made a big announcement that caused a stir in May 2022. There were plans to revise the long-standing interpretation of Title IX, a law that prohibits discrimination in education. The USDA wanted to include sexual orientation and gender identity in its protection against sex-based discrimination. This choice sparked discussion and brought up some issues.
The funding for school lunches comes from the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service.
“As a result, state and local agencies, program operators and sponsors that receive funds from FNS must investigate allegations of discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation,” the department said in a statement. “Those organizations must also update their non-discrimination policies and signage to include prohibitions against discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.”
“This is a significant departure from what Title IX has always been interpreted to be,” Sarah Perry, a Heritage Foundation lawyer and subject matter expert, told the publication.
Schools now have to navigate the complicated and politically charged terrain of gender and sexuality due to the growing diversity of orientations and gender identities. Schools must deal with this issue despite the ongoing political unrest because of the possible legal challenges that have already surfaced.
“This is no small change. This is a significant interpretation to say that sex equals sexual orientation and gender identity when Title IX, we know, dates back to 1972 and the women’s liberation movement, and at the time, there was an entire campaign by LGBTQ activists to be included in anti-discrimination law indicating that they themselves did not believe that they were protected in these particular contexts,” Perry told The Center Square.
By a vote of 50-47, attempts to repeal the rule under the Congressional Review Act were unsuccessful despite the Democratic-controlled Senate. Biden most likely would not have signed it even if the reversal had been approved.

“The Biden Administration is the only entity accountable for denying children their necessary school lunches,” Senator Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) declared after the vote was unsuccessful. He emphasized that there is actual evidence to support his claims, showing how the USDA’s policies have already caused impoverished children to lose their lunch funding.
“Weaponizing school lunch money in pursuit of their radical agenda and putting students in the crosshairs is unconscionable, and we will not stand for it,” according to the outlet, he added more.
Amidst all of this, Biden’s polling numbers are gradually dropping.
Early in November, New York Times/Siena College polls indicated that Trump was ahead in four of the six swing states. But fresh information also seemed to point to an increase in Biden’s chances of winning the election. In straight-up matches, the president’s lead over Trump is starting to dwindle.
With the exception of two polls, Biden’s popularity has decreased across the board in the 13 polls that have been released this month.
In addition, Trump is gaining ground, especially with voters who are switching from Biden to Trump in spite of their persistent hesitancy.
The national average poll indicates that Trump has increased his vote share more now than at any other point in the past year.
Over the past week, fresh polls have verified Trump’s lead in crucial states. Trump is currently leading by 8 points in Arizona and 5 points in Michigan, according to new data, which supports the impressive findings of polls by the New York Times and Siena.
