Arizona Congressman Abe Hamadeh dropped a political bombshell this week when he told Fox News Digital that he was one of three Republican lawmakers secretly monitored by the Biden administration’s so-called “Quiet Skies” program — a surveillance operation supposedly created to track potential terrorists but used, instead, to track conservatives.
The timing of Hamadeh’s targeting raises serious red flags. According to his account, federal surveillance began in December 2022, right as he was contesting the results of his razor-thin attorney general race — a contest decided by just 280 votes out of more than 2.5 million cast.
“It sadly doesn’t surprise me,” Hamadeh said. “At the time, if you remember, I mean banks were shutting down accounts if they promoted conservative viewpoints, if they were selling ammo or guns and the banks were being pressured by the Biden administration.”
Hamadeh noted that federal pressure wasn’t just confined to government agencies. “The federal government was exerting pressure not just within its own bureaucracy, but also on private organizations and private actors as well,” he said.
