CNN Panel Implodes After Jennings’ Brutal WNBA Reality Check!

“I want to say I’ve earned every single thing, but as a White person, there is privilege,” Clark stated. She added, “A lot of those players in the league that have been really good have been Black players. This league has kind of been built on them.”

Her remarks drew criticism from conservatives and some of her supporters, who saw them as unnecessary pandering to woke ideology. Jennings was quick to point this out during the CNN segment.

Jennings wasted no time calling out what he described as Clark’s capitulation to the woke mob. “Your brain has been captured by something I don’t really respect,” he remarked. His critique was met with immediate pushback from the panel, who shouted him down with cries of “That’s not true!”

Despite the cacophony, Jennings stood firm. He highlighted the economic reality of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), noting that while Clark’s exceptional skills have brought attention to the league, it still operates at a financial loss.

“The attention the league got this year was amazing, and it was all because of her; she’s an amazing player,” Jennings said. “The league still lost $40 million.”

CNN contributor Cari Champion countered Jennings by claiming the WNBA’s survival is due to the contributions of Black players. “The reason why it’s still up and still running, whether it is losing money or not, is because of the Black women who are in this,” Champion argued.

Jennings wasn’t swayed. “Isn’t it because of the investors?” he asked, drawing an immediate and emotional reaction from Champion, who shouted, “No! No! Scott, stop it! You stop it now!”

Jennings concluded with a pointed message for Clark and others who embrace woke language. “No matter how much of the phrasing, no matter how much of the groveling you do, it’ll never be enough for the people in that league who hate her guts,” he warned.

He also pushed back on the concept of “White privilege” in sports, asserting that athletics is one arena where success is based solely on merit. “When I hear the term ‘White privilege,’ sports is the one place where no one in the field has any privilege at all,” he said.

The segment highlighted the deep divisions in how Americans view race, privilege, and sports. While Clark’s comments may have resonated with some, Jennings’ sharp critique struck a chord with conservatives who see such statements as a surrender to woke ideology.

Whether you agree with Jennings or not, his appearance underscored the increasingly contentious cultural debates playing out in sports and media. For now, the battle between meritocracy and identity politics shows no signs of slowing down.
