Neely, a proud MAGA supporter and African-American journalist, is once again caught in what critics are calling a vindictive Department of Justice campaign under Merrick Garland’s leadership.
Despite numerous setbacks in their attempts to tarnish former President Donald Trump, the DOJ appears relentless in targeting Trump supporters. On Friday, however, Neely’s public defender, Sandra Roland, successfully secured his release during a swift court hearing before Judge Bates.

Neely’s latest legal saga comes to a head today, December 14, as he is set to be released from the D.C. jail, often referred to as the “D.C. Gulag.” The allegations against him—kept sealed until recently—were described as minor probation technicalities. According to his legal team, the charges lacked substance and were akin to routine issues typically resolved at the probation officer level.
