The Biden administration’s narrative has left many scratching their heads. According to Kirby, sophisticated detection systems have failed to corroborate any drone sightings, and he claimed imagery shows lawful manned aircraft rather than drones. Yet, Picatinny Arsenal and Naval Weapons Station Earle reported these incursions with certainty.
A spokesperson for Picatinny Arsenal said, “We are aware and monitoring the reports of unauthorized drone flights in the vicinity of military installations in New Jersey to include Picatinny Arsenal and Naval Weapons Station Earle, and we refer you to those installations for information on any efforts they are may be conducting to ensure the safety and security of their personnel and operations.”
The conflicting accounts have drawn sharp criticism from investigative journalists and lawmakers alike. Ross Coulthart, a journalist specializing in security issues, blasted Kirby’s statements on social media:
WATCH:
“This statement from White House National Security Spokesman Adm Kirby is in direct contradiction to a statement issued by the NJ Picatinny Arsenal base commander. Adm. Kirby says there’s been NO reported or confirmed ‘drone’ incursions in restricted airspace. Yet, the base says there’s been 11 confirmed. Why would a White House spokesman recklessly issue such a misleading and false claim?”
The issue has sparked outrage among lawmakers from New York and New Jersey, who are demanding a federal briefing on the security risks posed by these incidents. They accuse the administration of brushing off potentially serious breaches at critical military sites.
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene didn’t mince words in her criticism of the Pentagon’s response. In a fiery video statement, she said, “I’m going to call it total bullsh-t that no one knows what these are. They can track down a guy that just killed a CEO, but they can’t identify what nightly drones are and where they’re coming from.”
Greene further accused the government of lying, stating, “They can’t identify who these drones belong to or where they’re coming from? That’s ridiculous.”

The apparent disconnect between the White House and military officials has raised concerns about transparency and accountability. If reports of drone incursions are accurate, why does the administration seem intent on minimizing their significance? And if they truly pose no threat, why have local law enforcement, the FBI, and even U.S. Northern Command been pulled into the investigation?
Kirby attempted to downplay fears, saying, “The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the FBI are investigating these sightings, and they’re working closely with state and local law enforcement to provide resources using numerous detection methods to better understand their origin.” But for many, his reassurances fall flat in the face of confirmed military reports.
The administration’s inconsistent messaging has left the public and military watchdogs demanding answers. If drones are breaching restricted airspace, the potential risks to national security and public safety are significant. Critics argue that admitting to these risks would contradict the Biden administration’s narrative of control and competence, leading to speculation that the truth is being deliberately obscured.
As investigations continue, all eyes are on the White House to provide a clear and honest account of what’s happening—and why the military’s findings are being contradicted at the highest levels of government.
