Former First Lady Michelle Obama may have traded the White House for Hollywood, but according to a new report, political loyalties are still playing a major role behind the scenes.
Michelle Obama and former President Barack Obama now oversee Higher Ground, the entertainment company they launched after leaving office. While the company has produced award-winning films and documentaries, a new report from the Daily Mail alleges that politics spilled into one of its latest television productions in a way that left one actress on the outside looking in.
At the center of the controversy is actress Cheryl Hines, best known for portraying Larry David’s wife throughout the long-running HBO comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm. Hines is also married to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whose alliance with President Donald Trump has made him a lightning rod among many Democrats.
