Trump to Netanyahu: “You’d Be in Prison If Not for Me”

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

The report claimed Trump told the Israeli prime minister, “You’re f—— crazy. You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me.”

Although Trump did not repeat those specific remarks during his conversation with Devine, he did not deny that serious disagreements had emerged between the two men. Instead, he openly admitted that tensions had surfaced as the fighting continued.

The disagreement reportedly unfolded during a particularly sensitive period for American diplomatic efforts in the region. Iran had already suspended communications with U.S. negotiators, accusing Israel’s military actions in Lebanon of undermining ongoing discussions and making diplomatic progress increasingly difficult.

Following the contentious call, U.S. officials worked to help secure a limited ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed terrorist organization that has been engaged in cross-border attacks and military confrontations with Israeli forces.

However, hopes for a lasting pause in the violence were quickly tested. Israeli officials soon accused Hezbollah of violating the ceasefire arrangement, raising fears that the agreement could collapse before it had a chance to stabilize the situation.

Those concerns intensified on Wednesday when Israel issued fresh evacuation warnings to residents living in portions of southern Lebanon. Israeli authorities stated that the Israel Defense Forces were preparing additional military actions in response to what officials described as continued aggression from Hezbollah forces operating in the area.

Meanwhile, another troubling development emerged elsewhere in the region. Kuwait publicly condemned a series of missile and drone strikes attributed to Iran that reportedly targeted civilian infrastructure and critical facilities.

In a statement released through the country’s foreign ministry, Kuwaiti officials strongly criticized the attacks and warned about the growing threat posed by continued regional instability.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the State of Kuwait’s condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest terms, of the brutal and ongoing Iranian attacks using ballistic missiles and drones, the latest of which occurred at dawn today, targeting once again civilian and vital facilities, including Kuwait International Airport, resulting in the death of one individual, injuries to others, and damage to vital facilities, including diplomatic missions,” part of the statement declared, according to a translation of the Arabic-language post on X.

Additional information released by Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense indicated that a structure at Kuwait International Airport suffered damage during the attack. Authorities also reported multiple injuries resulting from the incident. The update was shared through the official account of the Kuwait Army General Staff Headquarters.

Taken together, the latest developments highlight the increasingly dangerous situation unfolding across the Middle East. Continued fighting in Lebanon, mounting tensions involving Iran, and fresh attacks against civilian infrastructure have complicated efforts to achieve broader regional stability.

Trump’s public acknowledgment of his disagreement with Netanyahu may represent one of the clearest signs yet that differences have emerged between the longtime allies over how to handle the rapidly evolving conflict. As violence continues to spread across multiple fronts, the administration faces growing pressure to prevent the crisis from expanding into a much larger regional war.

With ceasefire efforts hanging by a thread and diplomatic negotiations facing major obstacles, leaders throughout the region appear to be navigating one of the most volatile periods in recent years. Whether the fragile truce can survive—and whether further escalation can be avoided—remains one of the most pressing questions facing the Middle East today.
