Bondi Fires Back on Epstein Docs Controversy

Former Attorney General Pam Bondi is defending the Justice Department’s handling of the long-contested Jeffrey Epstein records, telling lawmakers the agency met its legal obligations and went further than any prior administration in releasing information tied to the case.

Bondi appeared behind closed doors Friday before the House Oversight Committee, where members are continuing their wide-ranging probe into how federal authorities managed the Epstein investigation, what materials were released to the public, and what may still remain classified or withheld.

In prepared remarks obtained by multiple outlets, Bondi made the case that the Justice Department had already delivered what she described as historic transparency. She emphasized that the release effort complied fully with federal law and represented an extraordinary push to make records available.

“Justice and transparency have been delivered,” Pam Bondi told lawmakers, adding that the department released all materials required under federal law.
