The United States military delivered a punishing response to Iran on Saturday after Iranian forces allegedly launched ballistic missiles toward two American warships operating in the region.
U.S. Central Command announced that American forces struck three Iranian crude oil tankers on September 5, permanently disabling two vessels and completely destroying a third.
The operation came after what CENTCOM described as “multiple unprovoked Iranian attacks” against U.S. Navy ships.
