A deadly encounter at a Florida home is now under investigation after police say a young woman attempted to get inside a residence in the predawn hours, even after the homeowner allegedly warned her to leave and told her he had a gun.
The confrontation unfolded in Leesburg shortly before 5 a.m. on Aug. 25 and ultimately left 23-year-old Ananda Conley dead.
Now investigators must determine whether the homeowner’s decision to use deadly force was legally justified under Florida law.
