“Right now, it is a totally BARREN field of Prime Waterfront Real Estate along our Mighty Potomac River,” he said.
Trump then promised that the area would eventually become a crown jewel of Washington, D.C., complete with carefully designed landscaping and iconic monuments honoring American greatness.
“When finished, West Potomac Park will be a World Class Masterpiece with elegant Landscaping, and adorned with Beautiful Statues, and be yet another one of my great projects to make Washington, D.C., the Safest and Most Beautiful Capital in the World,” Trump wrote.
The project appears designed to coincide with preparations for America’s 250th birthday celebration, an anniversary Trump has repeatedly said should be celebrated in historic fashion. According to Trump, the monument garden will include statues honoring military heroes, civil rights figures, entertainers, athletes, religious leaders, and America’s founding fathers.
“The National Garden of American Heroes will feature the MOST BEAUTIFUL collection of statues of AMERICAN HEROES, featuring our Illustrious Founding Fathers, Military Warriors, Religious Leaders, Civil Rights Champions, World Class Athletes, Artists, Entertainers, and MORE,” he continued.
“The people of America (and the World!) will come here to learn and be inspired by the “Greats”. The National Garden of American Heroes is one more project we are undertaking to honor the 250th Birthday of the Greatest Nation on Earth, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” the president concluded.
But that was only the beginning of Trump’s post-China media blitz.
Trump also highlighted the now widely discussed golden statue of himself recently unveiled at Trump National Doral Miami, a development that immediately ignited fierce reactions online from both supporters and critics.
“This is a statue, now standing at Doral, that was commissioned by a large group of political supporters who just wanted a statue of yours truly. I very much appreciate their support, and all that they went through to get it done!” Trump wrote.
“They are very good people. Those playing the Blue Monster, at Doral, are absolutely in love with it. Congratulations to all involved. With time, it will become a Landmark! President DJT,” he added.
Trump then pivoted toward another ambitious project that has become one of his personal obsessions: building a massive White House ballroom. According to Trump, his visit to China only strengthened his belief that America should have a grand ceremonial venue capable of rivaling the world’s most impressive government facilities.
“China has a Ballroom, and so should the U.S.A.! It’s under construction, ahead of schedule, and will be the finest facility of its kind anywhere in the U.S.A.,” Trump wrote.
“Thank you for all the support I have been given in getting this project going. Scheduled opening will be around September of 2028. The man I am walking with is President Xi, of China, one of the World’s Great Leaders! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” he added.
During the visit, Trump openly praised Xi during a direct meeting between the two leaders, once again brushing aside criticism from the political establishment and corporate media.
“You are a great leader. I say it to everybody, you are a great leader. Sometimes people don’t like me saying it, but I say it because it’s true. I always say the truth,” Trump said to Xi.
The remarks immediately generated backlash from critics who have long attacked Trump for speaking favorably about foreign leaders. But supporters argue Trump’s willingness to engage directly with powerful world figures is exactly why his foreign policy style continues to resonate with millions of Americans.
Trump also revealed that he formally invited Xi and Madam Peng to visit the White House later this year, setting up what could become another major diplomatic event ahead of the 2028 election cycle.
Xi’s previous White House visit came under former President Barack Obama in 2015. He later traveled to San Francisco in 2023 for the APEC summit, where he met with then-President Joe Biden.
Now, after Trump’s latest trip to Beijing, Washington is once again watching closely as the president reshapes America’s relationship with China while simultaneously pushing massive patriotic projects at home designed to leave a permanent mark on the nation’s capital.
