Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s Levi’s campaign featured the singer in a jeweled denim outfit with blonde hair — and the same voices who attacked Sweeney suddenly fell silent.
Not one high-profile progressive outlet accused Beyoncé of promoting “problematic” themes. Not one activist demanded her campaign be pulled.
People online saw right through it.
“So Beyoncé can pose in Levi jeans and it’s art… But when a White woman does it, it’s a national crisis?” one user asked, cutting straight to the heart of the matter.
British commentator Oli London echoed that sentiment: “Beyoncé appeared in Levi Jeans advert. Zero liberal outrage. Sydney Sweeney appeared in American Eagle advert. Massive liberal outrage. Why is that?”
Commentator John LeFevre also weighed in, pointing out: “Hard to recognize, but this is Beyonce – with straightened blonde hair and lightened skin. If Sydney Sweeney did an ad in braids, the world would melt down…”
This isn’t the first time the Left has pulled this stunt. They pounce when it’s someone they politically oppose, but ignore the same “offense” if it comes from someone on their side.
Washington Examiner contributor Kimberly Ross nailed it when she wrote: “What if I said Sydney Sweeney has good genes, Beyoncé has good genes, and flipping out about either is stupid? Move on from these inane discussions. Good lord.”
Fox News contributor Nicole Saphier also chimed in: “Just going to leave this pic from Beyoncé Levi’s campaign right here for those saying Sydney Sweeney with her blond hair/denim/sultry look is racist…”
This isn’t about ads. It’s about power. The woke Left uses accusations of racism and “White supremacy” as a political weapon — selectively deployed when it helps their cause.
They labeled Sweeney’s jeans ad as promoting “eugenics” because she represents everything they despise: a successful, confident, blonde actress who refuses to bow to their demands.
Beyoncé, on the other hand, fits neatly into their identity politics hierarchy — so she’s untouchable.
The backlash online shows that people are no longer afraid to point out the hypocrisy.
If you have to twist yourself into knots explaining why one denim ad is “racist” and the other is “art,” you’ve already lost the argument.
The more these double standards get exposed, the more the woke mob’s influence crumbles.
The Beyoncé-Sweeney comparison may seem small, but it’s a textbook example of how the Left operates: no consistent principles, just hand-picked targets.
And thanks to sharp-eyed Americans willing to speak up, their selective outrage is being dragged into the light for everyone to see.
