The Left loves to stir up outrage over the smallest things — but when their own side does it, suddenly it’s all “art” and “self-expression.”
This week, social media users caught the woke mob in one of their most blatant double standards yet — and this time, Beyoncé was right in the middle of it.
The timing couldn’t have been worse for the Left’s narrative. Just days after progressive activists and liberal media outlets went ballistic over Sydney Sweeney’s new American Eagle ad, Beyoncé rolled out her own denim-themed campaign with Levi’s.
The contrast was stunning.
Sweeney’s ad came with the playful tagline, “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans” — a lighthearted pun that referenced both her last name and the clothing line.
But the Left immediately declared it offensive. Far-left outlet Salon’s weekend editor CK Smith even claimed the slogan was connected to “eugenics movements” and wrote, “Critics say those ideas still show up in modern advertising and influencer culture, often unexamined.”
