According to Todd, the current political climate around Trump has crossed a line that makes him unwilling to attend any future events where the former president is present. His reasoning, as he laid out on a podcast with political commentator Chris Cillizza, centers on personal safety concerns following recent security incidents tied to high-profile political gatherings.

“I’m not going to any more events where Trump’s at. I don’t feel safe…. If you decide to go into his orbit, you have become less safe,” Todd said.
