In a bold move, Senate Democrats refused to move forward with over 150 of Trump’s judicial picks, effectively grinding confirmations to a halt. They deployed obscure Senate procedures to hold nominees hostage, demanding a staggering $1 billion in spending concessions as ransom for even minimal cooperation.
