A jaw-dropping scene unfolded Saturday night aboard Delta Air Lines Flight 2809, as passengers watched in disbelief while a swarm of federal law enforcement officers stormed the cockpit and arrested one of the co-pilots shortly after the plane landed at San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
The flight had originated in Minneapolis and completed its descent after a fog-delayed landing around 9:35 p.m. local time. What was supposed to be a routine end to a cross-country trip turned into a moment of chaos and confusion.
Dramatic footage circulating on social media — originally shared by the aviation blog View from the Wing — captures the tense moment when approximately ten agents boarded the aircraft and made a beeline for the cockpit. Without any prior announcement to passengers, the agents reportedly handcuffed the co-pilot and escorted him down the aisle, removing him from the aircraft in full view of the stunned passengers.

According to reports, the arresting team included agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and individuals identifying themselves as federal air marshals. A second group of agents returned to the plane minutes later to collect the co-pilot’s personal effects.
