“In 2021, President Biden signed bipartisan legislation establishing Juneteenth as the nation’s newest Federal holiday, so that all Americans can feel the power of this day, learn from our history, celebrate our progress, and recognize and engage in the work that continues,” the White House once stated in a press release.
But critics argue the move was more about virtue signaling than actual progress.
A Holiday Few Knew About
Before Biden made Juneteenth a federal holiday, most Americans were barely aware of it—let alone demanding it be recognized on the federal calendar.
Even Barack Obama, hailed by many as a trailblazer for African Americans, never once gave a speech about Juneteenth while in office. He didn’t even tweet about it. The same can’t be said for the more performative gestures embraced by the Biden-Harris White House.
And here’s the kicker: Biden himself seemed to have no idea what Juneteenth actually was before signing it into law. In 2020, he awkwardly confused Juneteenth with the Tulsa Race Massacre during a campaign appearance—blurring history and exposing a troubling lack of understanding of the very events he now claims to honor.

Biden’s “Zombie” Juneteenth Moment
Last year’s White House Juneteenth celebration didn’t do Biden any favors, either.
In a widely shared video clip, the President appeared dazed and confused as he stood motionless during the festivities—another moment that reinforced the growing concern over Biden’s physical and cognitive health.
The performance, or lack thereof, only further fueled suspicions that Biden’s Juneteenth holiday push was little more than political theater.
A Convenient Distraction?
Many conservative Americans view the Juneteenth holiday not as a celebration of freedom, but as yet another attempt by the left to rewrite history and distract from ongoing national crises—from border chaos and inflation to deepening racial division and failed foreign policy.
And Trump’s comments come at a time when many business owners are privately grumbling over the growing number of mandated closures and rising labor costs tied to federal holidays.
Juneteenth is now the 11th federal holiday—each one shutting down agencies, disrupting supply chains, and driving up government spending.
Critics argue that’s the last thing the U.S. economy needs right now.
A Push for Change?
Trump’s warning could become a rallying cry for reform if he returns to the White House in 2025. It wouldn’t be the first time he’s tried to shake up long-standing federal norms—and with the nation already fed up with bloated bureaucracy, his message may resonate.
Whether it’s Juneteenth or the next “woke” holiday pushed by the left, Trump’s position is clear: enough is enough.
The country, he says, can’t afford to keep shutting down in the name of political correctness.
“It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
