5 Republicans Vote Against Epstein Transparency?!

In a stunning late-night maneuver, House Republicans just killed a bold amendment aimed at ripping open the Epstein files for public view—once again slamming the brakes on transparency and accountability.

On Monday, in a 7–5 vote behind closed doors in the powerful House Rules Committee, Republicans blocked an amendment from Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) that would’ve required Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice to release every last document related to Jeffrey Epstein. That includes the infamous flight logs, communications, and any client lists.

This amendment would have given the DOJ just 30 days to publish everything online for the American public to finally see.

Last week, Rep. Khanna made it crystal clear—he was preparing to force a vote on transparency. He vowed to introduce an amendment that would require the House to go on the record: release the Epstein files, or explain to voters why they’re still under lock and key.

“Why are the Epstein files still hidden? Who are the rich & powerful being protected?” Khanna asked in a direct post on X (formerly Twitter).
