15-Year-Old Killed in School Fight—Suspect Nabbed!

A tragic high school battle in Raleigh, North Carolina, results in a 15-year-old student’s death by stabbing.

In connection with a sad incident that occurred at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School, a 14-year-old has been charged with murder. A 16-year-old was hurt amid the ruckus, according to WRAL. The police have not disclosed the identity of anyone involved.

The school resource officer reported a stabbing to the police around 11 a.m.

“He’s losing consciousness right now. We’re in the main gym,” Over the police enforcement radio, someone could hear a woman’s voice stating.

Mother Alleges Son Used Self-Defense to Stop the Stabbing

“I don’t believe he took the knife into school,” McLaughlin said. “I believe he got the knife from somebody in the school because he did not go to school with a knife. I dropped him off at school. He did not go to school with it.”

“The whole situation is terrible,” According to the New York Post, McLaughlin stated.

“I feel bad for the other family, but in return, I feel bad for my son because he was fighting for his life. It wasn’t a fair fight. I just don’t think it should have happened like that,” she said.

“There were a lot of people screaming and crying,” WTVD reported that student Daniela Fortin remarked.

“There were a lot of people around him, and they were very concerned about him, and it was very scary,” Regarding the pupil who passed away, Fortin declared that the struggle “a very traumatic experience.”

“There were videos of what happened … I don’t know how to explain it, but it was so sad seeing all of the videos,” she said.

Robert Taylor, the superintendent of Wake County, promises to enhance security procedures in the wake of the startling stabbing event.

“Schools should be a safe haven for our students and staff. What happened here today is unacceptable,” he said. “As superintendent, I can tell you, there is nothing more important than the well-being and the safety of our students.”

Although schools do not use metal detectors, Taylor stated that school resource officers are permitted to search a kid if there is a “reasonable suspicion that a student has a weapon.”
