House Republicans announced two additional measures aimed at Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg as the legal wrangle over the indictment of former President Trump continues. The high-profile case, which has many political insiders on edge, and Bragg’s involvement in it are both primary causes of the law. The GOP’s actions mark a dramatic uptick in the continuing legal drama, which isn’t about to let up any time soon. Although the issue is controversial, all sides are still dedicated to obeying the law and making sure justice is done.
The Daily Caller was able to get both of the invoices, “Accountability for Lawless Violence In Our Neighborhoods Act,” or the “ALVIN Act,” and the “No Federal Funds for Political Prosecutions Act.”

Political commotion is being caused by the proposed “ALVIN Act,” which aims to block federal monies from going to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. If approved, this legislation would put the district attorney’s office in the awkward position of having to return federal cash that they had received as of January 1, 2022. This decision will have broad repercussions and put the office in the middle of a minefield of legal, administrative, and financial problems. It’s important to monitor the discourse that this act has undoubtedly ignited.
“The ‘No Federal Funds for Political Prosecutions Act,’ prohibits state or local law enforcement agencies from using funds or property attainted pursuant to section 511(e) of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 811(e)), section 981 of title 18, United States Code, or section 524 of title 28, United States Code, to investigate or prosecute the President, Vice President, or a candidate for the office of President in a criminal case while lawlessness permeates major American cities,” Henry of The Daily Caller reported.
“District Attorney Alvin Bragg ran on a campaign pledge to indict President Trump. Bragg took the unprecedented action of converting alleged minor business misdemeanors to 34 individual felonies in an attempt to put President Trump behind bars and humiliate him and his supporters,” According to Biggs, the Daily Caller.
“This weaponized prosecutor’s office has spent thousands of federal taxpayer dollars to subsidize this political indictment and is demanding millions more in federal grants. It’s disturbing to see District Attorney Bragg waste federal resources for political purposes rather than addressing the serious crime in his city. As a member of the House Judiciary and Oversight & Accountability Committees, and with an almost insurmountable national debt that exceeds $ 1 trillion, the nation simply cannot afford to support Mr. Bragg’s politicization of the criminal justice system,” Biggs added.
Jim Jordan, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, recently informed Bragg that his legal measures would not stop the ongoing Republican probe into his indiscretions. The committee is relentless in its pursuit of justice despite any potential obstacles.
The Ohio Republican criticized Bragg during an appearance with Fox News for his “pro-crime, anti-victim policies” in New York. The former president Donald Trump was indicted for “no crime,” according to Jordan, who allegedly retaliated against Bragg for bringing a case against him.
