Walmart, like clockwork, rolled out its annual collection of LGBT-themed merchandise. These pride collections have become so routine that most people simply ignore them. But this year’s display has sparked far more than the usual grumbling — it’s generating full-on mockery. And not just from conservatives or skeptics of corporate wokeism, but from LGBT voices themselves.
The controversy ignited after a little-known LGBT TikToker posted a scathing, sarcastic video showcasing Walmart’s pride-themed products. The video quickly exploded in popularity, racking up millions of views on both TikTok and X (formerly Twitter). And the reason? The merch is so cringe-worthy, even those it’s supposedly designed to celebrate are calling it out.
“Not even going to lie to y’all, Walmart really making me not even want to be gay no more,” the TikToker said in the now-viral video.
