Ramaswamy’s sudden resignation from the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) committee last month has fueled speculation about his future. Despite whispers of conflict with Musk, he dismissed the rumors: “I planned to focus on my home state for the time being,” he told reporters.

Initially considered for Vice President J.D. Vance’s former Senate seat, Ramaswamy was bypassed when Governor Mike DeWine selected Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted for the position. Now, with Husted in the Senate, Ramaswamy is eyeing the governor’s mansion. An Ohio political operative told Fox News, “Vivek’s base plan remains [the] same: to get accomplishments at DOGE and then announce a run for governor shortly.”
