More secret papers were recently discovered at President Joe Biden’s Delaware residence, according to White House Special Counsel Richard Sauber, raising doubts about the veracity of claims made regarding the status of the investigation by Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre two days before. “Amazing what you can find when you quit looking.”
As soon as more pieces of evidence were discovered, authorities’ attempts to minimize the finding of secret papers at former Vice President Biden’s office were shown to be shortsighted. Among them was a paper discovered on Thursday in the garage of his Delaware home, which was widely reported.

Reporters questioned if Jean-statement Pierre’s that the document search had ended was true at the White House press conference. They looked around to see if there were any further storage facilities that may house papers that had either previously been looked at or were still hidden.
She answered the questions by saying, “So, as–as–I’m just going to–again, that statement pretty much lays–lays that–lays it out, that they–they have–as far as the lawyers, they look through the places where documents could have been stored, and the Counsel’s Office released a statement on that. Now it is in the hands of the special counsel.”
She was contacted again to confirm,
“So we should assume that it has been completed?” and to that she said, “It–it–you should assume that it’s been completed, yes.”
After that, the press secretary repeatedly claimed that the search had been “completed” despite prior pledges to the same, leaving her perplexed. “The search was continuing. It was ongoing. The process, as I have been saying, was ongoing. And the search is clearly complete, and therefore we shared the information with all of you.”
Sauber had received a warning about the existence of a single top-secret document a week earlier. When he unexpectedly traveled to Delaware on Thursday, he discovered an additional 5 papers, which prompted him and his colleagues to move quickly by sending them all to the Justice Department for evaluation.
“While I was transferring it to the DOJ officials who accompanied me,” the special counsel said, “five additional pages with classification markings were discovered among the material with it, for a total of six pages. The DOJ officials with me immediately took possession of them.”
It was evident that individuals in charge of this inquiry did not have access to the required resources and clearance papers needed to effectively conclude their investigation, even though Biden’s lawyers were able to do a cursory examination of the president’s files.
