U.S. Destroys Iranian Boats After Mine Threat

Tensions between the United States and Iran surged this week after Donald Trump issued a sharp and unmistakable warning to the regime in Iran, demanding the immediate removal of any naval mines that may have been deployed in the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz.

The former president took to Truth Social to make his position crystal clear, signaling that the United States would not tolerate any threat to one of the most important shipping routes in the world.

Intelligence Signals Possible Iranian Move

The warning follows a report from CBS News, which cited U.S. intelligence officials who believe Iran may be preparing to deploy naval mines within the busy shipping lanes of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to intelligence estimates, the Iranian regime maintains a sizable arsenal of naval mines—potentially ranging from 2,000 to 6,000 devices. Many of these weapons can be quickly deployed using small boats or other vessels operating in the Persian Gulf, giving Tehran the ability to disrupt maritime traffic with little warning.

Security analysts have long warned that such tactics could cripple global energy markets if carried out in one of the world’s most sensitive maritime corridors.
