Two Delta Planes COLLIDE at LaGuardia! (VIDEO)

Another shocking incident in America’s skies has people asking what’s going on with airline safety. Late Wednesday night, chaos erupted at New York’s LaGuardia Airport when two Delta jets collided on the runway in a scene that rattled passengers and raised serious concerns about the industry’s competence.

According to reports, the crash left one plane’s nose destroyed and ripped a huge portion off another aircraft’s wing. A “low-speed collision” may sound minor, but the aftermath was anything but reassuring for the passengers who lived through it.

Delta admitted in a statement that Endeavor Air Flight 5047, coming in from Charlotte, North Carolina, slammed into Endeavor Flight 5155, which was supposed to head out for Roanoke, Virginia. The collision happened at around 9:56 P.M., according to the airline.

Endeavor Flight 5155 had 32 people on board, including 28 passengers and four crew members. Flight 5047, arriving from Charlotte, was carrying 61 people — 57 passengers and four crew members, according to CBS News. The incident could have been far worse considering how many lives were at stake.
