Rep. Himes responded in lockstep with the narrative, dismissing Gabbard’s move entirely. “None, absolutely none. Margaret, what you saw from the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, was not just a lie, but a very dangerous lie, because when you start throwing around language like sedition and treason, somebody is going to get hurt,” Himes claimed.
He then attempted to bolster the official talking points by citing the Senate Intelligence Committee’s findings—led at the time by then-Senator Marco Rubio—and claimed their assessment confirmed Russian interference on behalf of Trump. He also referenced Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation, conveniently ignoring the glaring conclusion: Durham’s probe found no credible evidence that Trump colluded with Russia.
In fact, Durham clearly indicated the FBI’s probe into the Trump campaign was launched based on flimsy intelligence and politically motivated suspicion. The infamous Steele dossier, which was hyped endlessly by corporate media and intelligence insiders, turned out to be little more than fiction masquerading as evidence.

Still, Himes continued spinning. “Now, what Tulsi is doing it’s a little sleight of hand… She is saying that the Intelligence Committee, early on, said that the Russians could not use cyber tools to mess with the voting infrastructure… They didn’t do it,” he admitted.
He then pivoted to the usual scapegoats—Russian hackers and Facebook ads. “It is well known and well established that the Russians hacked into the DNC and undertook any number of other influence operations, including buying reams of Facebook ads to discredit Hillary Clinton,” Himes said, regurgitating long-disputed narratives that fell flat under deeper scrutiny.
In a moment of frustration, Himes lashed out at conservatives, saying, “Right now, you know, the mouth-breathers on MAGA online are just going out of their minds based on a lie.” He wrapped up by defending the intelligence community, stating, “The intelligence community is full of very, good people who do their jobs every single day… now they’re watching their leader do something that each and every one of them knows is dishonest.”
While the left scrambles to discredit Gabbard, the American people are beginning to ask the real questions. Why are Democrats so terrified of transparency? What exactly are they trying to hide?
Gabbard’s decision to shine a light on the intelligence apparatus used during the Obama era could mark a turning point in the fight to hold unelected bureaucrats accountable. And if her claims bear out in full, it will confirm what many conservatives have long suspected: that a shadow campaign was orchestrated from within to prevent Trump from ever reaching—or keeping—the White House.
