Naturally, the left-wing media is already up in arms over the appointment. But Trump supporters see it as a much-needed shake-up in a justice system that’s been increasingly weaponized against conservatives and Trump allies.
At his swearing-in ceremony Monday in Albany, Sarcone addressed the criticism about his lack of courtroom prosecutorial experience by highlighting a much deeper qualification: real-world judgment.
“I believe the prosecutorial power, and discretion, is best entrusted to those with the full breadth of professional and life experiences, from which common sense, wisdom, and informed judgment emerge,” he said.
He didn’t stop there. Sarcone laid out a firm and focused agenda that includes tightening the northern border with Canada, cracking down on fraud, and rooting out public corruption — a theme that hits home for many Americans sick of double standards in Washington.
And in a notable move, Sarcone signaled that his office will also prioritize protecting religious students on college campuses from harassment and threats, especially in the wake of rising antisemitism and campus unrest.
“Our reach will not stop at prosecuting those who choose to violate our laws, but also those who knowingly support any violations in any way, shape or form,” Sarcone declared, according to Syracuse.com.
While the media obsesses over Sarcone’s tweets, real justice is unfolding elsewhere. On Thursday, the FBI announced the arrest of a major MS-13 gang leader — one of the most dangerous on the East Coast — in Woodbridge, Virginia, just outside D.C.
Though his name hasn’t been released, authorities confirm he is a 24-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador and one of the top three MS-13 leaders in the United States.
Top officials, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy AG Todd Blanche, were closely involved in the successful takedown operation.
“Early this morning, one of the top leaders of MS-13 was apprehended. He was the leader for the East Coast, one of the top three in the entire country, right here in Virginia… He is an illegal alien from El Salvador — and he will not be living in our country much longer,” Bondi announced.
She added: “They executed a clean, safe operation, and the bad guy’s in custody. And thanks to the FBI, we got one of the worst of the worst of the MS-13 off the streets this morning. Virginia and the country is a lot safer today.”
Bondi emphasized that this is all part of a much broader Trump-initiated directive to secure America from violent criminals and illegal threats.
“From the second Donald Trump took office, he said he is going to make America safe. He shut down our borders and now it’s our job to get these people out of our country… We will not have another Laken Riley,” she said, referring to the tragic murder of a young woman by an illegal alien.
She concluded: “Arrests have increased 468% from the same period last year. We didn’t need new laws, as President Trump always says — we needed a new president.”
Kash Patel echoed the urgency: “This task force is going to go everywhere as needed, across the United States to bring the form of justice and measured security and safety that our American citizens deserve… If you are going to continue to commit acts of violent crime, you will meet the same fate that this individual did this morning.”
Sarcone’s rise and the FBI’s MS-13 takedown are more than just headlines — they’re reminders that America-first leadership still gets results. While Joe Biden remains soft on border security and selective in enforcing federal law, Trump-era appointees are stepping up and showing what it means to protect the American people.
With voices like Sarcone and Bondi leading the charge, the message is loud and clear: Lawlessness will no longer be tolerated. And the days of soft-on-crime politics are coming to an end — whether the radical left likes it or not.
