As Democrats scramble to find their next rising star, Donald Trump is already taking aim at Vice President Kamala Harris, offering her some brutal advice if she’s eyeing the governor’s mansion in California.
“One thing she’s gotta do, she’s gotta start doing interviews,” Trump said in an interview with OutKick’s Clay Travis aboard Air Force One. “You can’t get away with both of them. During COVID he did no interviews, and he got away with it because of COVID,” he added, taking a shot at Joe Biden’s infamous basement campaign.

With California Governor Gavin Newsom term-limited and out in 2026, Democrats are jockeying for position in what’s expected to be a fierce intra-party showdown. Harris is reportedly considering jumping into the race, with a decision expected by summer, according to Fox News.
But the former California Attorney General and U.S. Senator brings some serious baggage into the arena. Her national image is battered, and her presidential campaign was a disaster—crashing and burning before the first primary votes were even cast.
