In a shocking display of bias, Obama-appointed Judge James “Jeb” Boasberg — now Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for D.C. — has made it crystal clear where his sympathies lie: not with American citizens swept up in the chaos of January 6, but with foreign nationals suspected of being members of one of the most violent transnational gangs in Latin America.
While delivering a 2023 lecture at the University of Chicago, Boasberg criticized current U.S. law for being too lenient on January 6 protesters. According to him, the system simply didn’t go far enough. He grumbled that existing statutes weren’t sufficient to charge the defendants as harshly as he wanted, lamenting:
