President Donald Trump has been diagnosed with a common circulatory issue, but his physician and team insist there’s no reason for concern. In fact, the former president’s medical team emphasized that despite the finding, Trump remains in “excellent health.”
According to White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella, Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency—a condition affecting blood flow in the legs. The condition, while not life-threatening, typically causes swelling and bruising due to inefficient blood return from the lower extremities.
The diagnosis came after Trump, 79, experienced “mild swelling” in his legs. He then underwent a battery of tests to ensure there were no more serious concerns, such as blood clots or arterial blockages. The tests came back clear, and no deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease was detected.
