Trump’s Bold Statement: Assad Flees Damascus!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

As the capital fell, reports surfaced that Assad had fled the country. While his exact whereabouts remain unconfirmed, speculation points to Russia or Iran as possible havens. Syrian army officials, speaking anonymously, confirmed that Damascus is now under rebel control, effectively ending Assad’s hold on power.

Trump took the opportunity to reflect on the broader implications of Assad’s downfall. “Opposition fighters in Syria, in an unprecedented move, have totally taken over numerous cities, in a highly coordinated offensive, and are now on the outskirts of Damascus, obviously preparing to make a very big move toward taking out Assad,” he wrote on Truth Social.

The former president linked the current situation to decisions made during his administration, asserting that his approach helped weaken Assad’s grip on power. He criticized former President Barack Obama for failing to enforce his “red line” policy in Syria, a move Trump argued emboldened Assad and his allies.

“This is where former President Obama refused to honor his commitment of protecting the RED LINE IN THE SAND, and all hell broke out, with Russia stepping in,” Trump wrote. He further described the ongoing developments as “the best thing” for Russia, claiming the nation had little to gain from its involvement in Syria.

Trump also pointed to Russia and Iran’s struggles as major contributors to Assad’s collapse. Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine has reportedly left its military severely weakened, with staggering losses of over 600,000 soldiers, according to Trump. Similarly, Iran faces increasing challenges due to its confrontations with Israel and economic instability.

“Russia, because they are so tied up in Ukraine, and with the loss there of over 600,000 soldiers, seems incapable of stopping this literal march through Syria, a country they have protected for years,” Trump noted.

While addressing the developments in Syria, Trump also reiterated his call for peace in Ukraine. He urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to seize the moment and negotiate an end to the conflict, which has reportedly claimed hundreds of thousands of lives on both sides.

“They lost all interest in Syria because of Ukraine, where close to 600,000 Russian soldiers lay wounded or dead, in a war that should never have started, and could go on forever,” Trump stated. He suggested that both Russia and Ukraine, alongside global players like China, should push for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further destruction.

Trump concluded by reiterating his position that the United States should not intervene in Syria’s ongoing power struggle. “THE UNITED STATES SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT. LET IT PLAY OUT. DO NOT GET INVOLVED!” he emphasized.

The dramatic events in Syria mark a pivotal moment in Middle Eastern geopolitics. As Assad’s regime crumbles, the world watches closely to see how Russia, Iran, and other key players respond to this power vacuum. Trump’s call for restraint underscores a broader debate about America’s role in global conflicts, one that will likely remain a focal point in the years to come.
