In a pointed interview with Sean Hannity, President Donald Trump and Elon Musk shot down media attempts to stir division between them. Speaking from the Oval Office, they mocked the press for pushing a narrative of rivalry.
“Oh, I see it all the time,” Trump told Hannity. “They tried it. Then they stopped. They have many different things of hatred.”
The interview, broadcast on “The Five,” displayed their united front against “old media” tactics. Hannity directly addressed the speculation:

“You’re both aware…the media and the punditry class…want you two to start hating each other,” Hannity said.
Trump confirmed the media’s efforts to sow discord:
“Elon called me. He said…they’re trying to drive us apart. I said, absolutely…They’re so bad at it.”
