Now, President Donald Trump says that era is about to end.
In a major announcement that could reshape the country’s energy landscape, Trump revealed plans for the first newly constructed U.S. oil refinery in roughly half a century. The project is designed specifically to process American shale oil, marking a dramatic shift toward a fully domestic energy supply chain.
