The legal action, filed in Brooklyn federal court on September 6, alleges that the incident infringed on her right to free speech and caused emotional distress.
Aura Moody, a 64-year-old social worker and Queens native, attended the Mets’ August 14 home game against the Oakland Athletics, but her evening took a drastic turn after she and a group of fellow Republicans were told they could not wear their MAGA hats inside the stadium. According to Moody, the policy was enforced by Citi Field staff, despite no official rule prohibiting such political attire.
