According to the publication, Trump has aggressively campaigned against what he and other conservatives characterize to as the “deep state,” which is the network of middle-level bureaucrats who have been given broad powers by Congress to enact laws, regardless of the political party in power.
Project 2025 encourages proactive people to apply for jobs in a future Trump administration with the goal of quickly filling federal government posts with conservatives and loyalists to counterbalance the largely leftist bureaucracy, according to reports.
The Plum Book, a 232-page document that lists hundreds of executive branch posts that the president has appointed, was expressly brought up by the movement’s leaders.
According to The Center Square, the Plum Book approach is a playbook borrowed from the Supreme Court that applies to the roughly 9,000 executive branch jobs that the president appoints.
“Americans are tired of their government being used against them,” According to the publication, Dans stated.
“The administrative state is, at best, completely out of touch with the American people and, at worst, is weaponized against them. We will soon embark on a historic reform of the federal government to get it once again to work for the American people. With our 100-member strong coalition, we have the momentum as we begin this critical year,” the outlet noted.
The 180-day roadmap includes a “transition plan” that each government department must implement as soon as Trump takes office. While not mandatory for Trump, the Project 2025 policy agenda includes a detailed list of agency-specific improvements, some of which will be foreign to most Americans.
