California Governor Gavin Newsom has made it his mission to go toe-to-toe with President Donald Trump over immigration policy. Instead of focusing on protecting citizens from dangerous criminals, Newsom has chosen to wage war against the men and women of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
But this week, Trump’s former Border Czar Tom Homan stepped up and delivered a fact Newsom can’t spin away – and it exposed the dangerous truth behind California’s failed sanctuary policies.
Newsom Calls ICE “Private Police Force”
At a Politico summit on Wednesday, Newsom launched another tirade against federal immigration enforcement. He accused ICE of acting as a “private police force” loyal to Trump instead of the Constitution.
What Newsom didn’t mention is why he’s so upset – ICE just wrapped up a major operation in Los Angeles that took gang members, child predators, and even murderers off the streets. Instead of thanking the federal agents who risked their lives to protect Californians, the governor smeared them.
