Thousands of Viruses Sent to Wuhan… By the U.S.?

In a startling twist that confirms long-held suspicions, internal documents have exposed a disturbing link between a U.S.-China joint health project and the infamous Wuhan lab believed to be ground zero for the COVID-19 pandemic. Buried within the archives of USAID, the now-defunct U.S. Agency for International Development, are records detailing how viruses were gathered and sent straight to China — specifically, to the very facility at the heart of the global crisis.

Last week, USAID was officially shut down, ending decades of controversy. For years, the agency faced sharp criticism from Republicans over its bloated international aid programs and suspicious partnerships. But now, with its closure, new information is surfacing — and it’s damning. Documents confirm the agency funded virus sample shipments to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where risky gain-of-function research was underway.

At the center of this alarming revelation is a $210 million taxpayer-funded project called PREDICT. Framed as a pandemic preparedness effort, PREDICT worked with global virologists and foreign labs — but instead of safeguarding Americans, the program appears to have done the opposite. Led by researchers from the University of California-Davis, PREDICT collected virus samples from across the world and ultimately sent them to Wuhan. Why? Because the program lacked funding to store the samples itself.
