In China’s Yunnan Province, nearly 11,000 virus specimens were collected during the program’s ten-year run. Rather than being secured in American facilities, those samples were shipped to a lab notorious for engineering pathogens to become even deadlier. Even worse — there was no formal partnership in place between PREDICT and the Wuhan lab.
A brief but chilling document from 2019 gives a snapshot of just how unregulated this pipeline truly was. It plainly states, “No need [sic] information from Yunnan. They were never an official lab partner for PREDICT. All samples they helped collect [sic] are sent to, tested, and stored in Wuhan.” That’s right — samples from a U.S.-funded project ended up in the hands of Chinese researchers with no oversight.
The “lab” referenced is none other than the Wuhan Institute of Virology — the same facility linked to shady funding connections from Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institutes of Health, and frequently tied to the Chinese Communist Party. Previous reports, including those from The Daily Caller, have already linked this lab to questionable experiments and government influence.
A senior State Department official confirmed in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation, “Investigations involving USAID’s former funding of global health awards remain active and ongoing. The American people can rest assured knowing that under the Trump Administration we will not be funding these controversial programs.”
The documents were obtained by Right to Know, a transparency nonprofit determined to uncover how COVID-19 really began — and to expose the U.S. government’s involvement in dangerous gain-of-function research. Their findings have added more fuel to the fire surrounding America’s quiet complicity in a global health nightmare.
USAID’s sudden demise has ignited a fierce debate over whether the billions of dollars poured into it ever made a difference. While establishment figures, including former President George W. Bush, praised the agency for its overseas humanitarian work — especially in Africa — critics are calling it a taxpayer-funded disaster.
Those aligned with President Trump’s America First agenda have long targeted USAID as a breeding ground for left-wing ideologues embedded deep within the federal bureaucracy. Many of these actors, they say, have openly vowed to undermine the Trump presidency using tactics often associated with foreign regime change.
Senator Marco Rubio didn’t hold back in his criticism, saying during the closure announcement, “Beyond creating a globe-spanning NGO industrial complex at taxpayer expense, USAID has little to show since the end of the Cold War. Development objectives have rarely been met, instability has often worsened, and anti-American sentiment has only grown.”
As the truth continues to emerge, it’s becoming clear that the American people deserve far more answers — and far fewer globalist experiments carried out in secret with their money.
