Texas voters are approaching Election Day with one of the state’s most closely watched political contests still unsettled, according to new polling from Quantus Insights.
The latest survey places Republican Ken Paxton slightly ahead of Democrat James Talarico, but the difference is small enough that the poll cannot establish which candidate actually leads statewide.
The numbers also reveal a significant development within the Republican electorate: Paxton has strengthened his support among voters who identify with his own party.
