The fire at the Republican Party of New Mexico headquarters in March 2025 is still fresh in the minds of investigators and political leaders alike. That incident left more than scorched walls—it also carried spray-painted messages reading “ICE=KKK,” signaling a politically charged attack that authorities treated as deliberate arson tied to ideological hostility toward federal immigration enforcement.
Now, just months later, a nearly identical scenario has unfolded in Texas—this time targeting the Comal County Republican Party headquarters in New Braunfels. Federal prosecutors say the latest case fits into a disturbing pattern that is growing harder to ignore.
According to investigators, 22-year-old Grace Carol Brown arrived at the Comal County GOP office on January 14 with what authorities describe as a premeditated plan to burn the building down. She allegedly smashed a window to gain entry, then attempted to escalate the attack using fire and accelerants. Inside a backpack she brought with her, law enforcement later discovered ethanol, gasoline, a lighter, and matches—materials consistent with an attempted arson.
