A life-changing lottery fortune has landed in Illinois.
A single Powerball ticket sold in Quincy has matched all six winning numbers, triggering a staggering $1.04 billion jackpot and bringing an end to a months-long stretch in which no ticket had captured the game’s top prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at a Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh gas station in Quincy, Illinois. Lottery officials announced Thursday that the ticket matched Wednesday night’s numbers: 4, 26, 66, 67 and 69, along with the red Powerball 9.
