Shocking: 16-Year-Old Stabbed, Dies in Twin’s Arms!

A tragic act of violence unfolded at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday morning, leaving a promising young athlete dead and a community in shock. Sixteen-year-old Austin Metcalf, a star track and football player at Frisco Memorial High School, was brutally stabbed during the University Interscholastic League’s District 11-5A championship meet.

The attack occurred in broad daylight at what was supposed to be a celebration of athleticism and sportsmanship. Witnesses say the violence erupted suddenly, leaving little time for intervention. According to authorities, the suspect is 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony of Frisco Centennial High School, now charged with first-degree murder.

The Frisco Police Department released a statement confirming the details of the attack:

“On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Frisco Police and Fire responded to an incident at a track meet in the 6900 block of Stadium Lane. An altercation between two students resulted in one stabbing the other. Despite lifesaving measures by police and fire personnel, including CPR and the administration of blood, the 16-year-old victim died.”
