Joe Biden’s administration poured taxpayer money into a radical environmental project that few Americans even knew existed. But now, one Trump official has shut it down, and the left is fuming.
Washington, D.C., is known for its many historic monuments and museums, but under the Biden administration, a new taxpayer-funded attraction was added—the National Environmental Museum and Education Center. This so-called educational institution, spearheaded by Biden’s EPA Administrator Michael Regan, was marketed as a way to inform the public about environmental issues. However, critics saw it as little more than left-wing propaganda on climate activism.

Regan hailed the museum as a place that “chronicles our nation’s work to protect public health and the environment” when it opened in May 2024. Exhibits ranged from electric cars and recycling to composting and so-called environmental justice. One particularly controversial display even lectured children on how their Happy Meals contributed to climate change due to greenhouse gas emissions from cattle.
