She Survived Hamas Captivity And Finally Told the Truth

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

She recalled pleading with her attackers, asking the same question over and over in a desperate attempt to understand the cruelty being inflicted on her.

“Why? It’s the phrase I use with everybody, it’s just not fair.”

Her voice broke as she described one of the most devastating moments of her ordeal, trapped in a bathroom while the assault continued.

“There was this one moment in the bathroom, while everything is happening. I was crying like crazy.”

What haunts her most is not only the violence, but the complete lack of humanity she saw in the eyes of her attacker.

But her rapist, she notes, “Was having the time of his life.”

“He’s ecstatic. And he has now received the gift of a lifetime.”

Gonen’s testimony confirms what investigators and survivors have been saying since the aftermath of October 7. Sexual violence was not incidental. It was intentional, systematic, and used as a weapon of war.

Previously, The Gateway Pundit reported on a captured Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist who admitted that members of his unit raped Israeli women during the coordinated Hamas-led assault. That confession alone destroyed claims that such acts were isolated or fabricated.

Israel’s elite national police unit, Lahav 433, has since gathered extensive evidence documenting rape and sexual torture carried out by Hamas terrorists. According to investigators, the attacks followed disturbing patterns that point to premeditation and coordination.

Survivor testimony further reinforces this grim reality. One massacre survivor told Arutz Sheva that she personally witnessed a woman being raped repeatedly by multiple attackers before being executed.

“I knew that he raped her, then they transferred her to someone else. She was alive until, in the end, he shot her,” the survivor said.

Even international media outlets were eventually forced to confront the evidence. In December, The New York Times published a detailed investigative report following a two-month inquiry into the sexual violence committed against Israeli women during the attack.

That investigation included interviews with 150 individuals, including eyewitnesses, medical professionals, soldiers, and rape counselors. The findings painted a devastating picture of brutality that could no longer be dismissed or ignored.

Further confirmation came from The Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel, which released an extensive report documenting what it described as the systematic nature of “sadistic sex crimes” carried out by Hamas terrorists.

The report was translated into English and distributed to decision-makers at the United Nations with one clear purpose: to eliminate any excuse for denial.

According to the findings, sexual violence was carried out in a deliberate and organized manner. The report detailed gang rapes and sexual torture involving underage girls, boys, men, and women, all used as tools of terror and psychological warfare.

Romi Gonen’s decision to go public required extraordinary courage. Her testimony not only honors the victims who did not survive, but also confronts the world with an uncomfortable truth many would rather avoid.

What she endured was not an accident of war. It was the result of an ideology that celebrates cruelty, dehumanization, and violence.

As more survivors find the strength to speak, the evidence continues to mount. The atrocities of October 7 cannot be rewritten, minimized, or forgotten.

And the voices of the victims will not be silenced.
