“For years, this institution has been neglected by Congress and mismanaged,” Duffy declared. “The campus has been allowed to fall into disrepair. It’s unbecoming of a national service academy.”

“Several months ago, I saw this for myself. I saw the old tar dripping from the ceilings. I saw the dorms rotting with mold. I saw the rusty showers with no hot water,” Duffy recounted.
He continued, “I also saw no work from the previous administration to bring your campus to the standard of a United States service academy.”
Let that sink in—cadets training to defend our country were living in rotting dorms with broken plumbing while the Biden team looked the other way.
Duffy went even further, laying out the long list of humiliations the Class of 2025 endured during their four years under Biden’s leadership.
“You all are the class of stupid COVID rules, including shutdowns for Sea Year. You all are the class of no hot water for months. You are the class of not enough food. You all are the class of paper plates and plastic forks. You all are the class of dorms with mold and a dilapidated, falling apart library,” he told the graduates.
That’s not just neglect—it’s a complete abandonment of duty to those serving their country.
In a moment that stunned many in attendance, Duffy revealed one of the most symbolic acts of disrespect by the previous administration.
“Worst of all, I saw Jesus stuffed away in the basement,” he said.
It wasn’t just physical decay. The Biden regime, according to Duffy, also tried to strip away faith—the very foundation that has guided military men and women since our nation’s founding.
Unlike the Biden administration, Duffy said President Trump and his team are committed to restoring the pride and strength of America’s military institutions.
“Your perseverance is why the Air Force schools prefer pilots from here rather than the Navy. You’ve put up with more than they have. You’ve done more with less than they have,” Duffy told the class.
Despite being handed the worst conditions imaginable, these cadets emerged stronger, smarter, and more capable—true warriors in spirit.
Duffy made it clear that the Trump administration sees these graduates and their sacrifices.
“I want you to know that your frustrations, your sacrifices, and your calls for change have been heard loud and clear. Not just by me, but by the President of the United States,” he stated.
The Trump team’s vision is simple: rebuild, restore, and reestablish American maritime power as a pillar of national defense.
“This administration understands that restoring maritime dominance is critical to our national security. And to do that, our nation needs more brave men and women to sail those ships,” Duffy explained.
In a heartfelt tribute, Duffy praised the families who raised these future leaders with grit, patriotism, and God-given wisdom.
“You’ve instilled your kids with something that is sorely and sadly lacking in so many other young people these days. Your children are moral, faith-filled, incredibly intelligent, and resourceful. They have grit and they are Patriots,” he said.
Unlike the woke garbage being fed to students on liberal campuses, Duffy offered real advice rooted in faith and family.
“Stop scrolling and start living! Ask that girl on a date. A real date. Movie and dinner. Open her car door,” he urged the young men.
And he didn’t stop there.
“Without exception, the most important decision you will ever make in your life is who you marry,” Duffy said. “Dare to be countercultural. Get married and start a family.”
After four years of being ignored by Biden’s bureaucrats, these 207 graduates are stepping into their roles as officers with strength, resolve, and a renewed sense of purpose.
They’ve lived through the collapse—but they’ve also proven that the American spirit can’t be broken.
Their victory is a reminder that when faith, family, and country come first, America wins.
