Rogan Praises Trump’s Comedy Genius in Clinton Debate!

While much of the conversation centered around humor, the interview also had sobering moments, especially when Trump opened up about the dangers he faced during his presidency. Reflecting on two serious assassination attempts, Trump emphasized the risks associated with being the leader of the free world, saying, “I do things that don’t necessarily make me so popular. I just do what’s right. You make yourself a target, and it’s a very dangerous business.”

One such incident took place during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13. Trump had barely begun speaking when shots rang out. A gunman, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, fired eight rounds, one of which grazed Trump’s ear. The former president narrowly escaped with his life, though one rally attendee tragically died, and two others were severely injured.

Trump revealed to Rogan the scar left behind by Crooks’ bullet. “It zicked right there,” Trump said, pointing to the spot behind his right ear. Rogan, visibly impressed by how well it healed, responded, “It healed up pretty f–king good.”

The Butler shooting wasn’t the only brush with death Trump experienced. Less than two months later, on September 15, Trump was nearly the target of another assassination attempt while golfing at his West Palm Beach resort. The would-be assassin, 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, was apprehended by Secret Service agents before he could fire his AR-style rifle. Routh had positioned himself behind a hedgerow, waiting for the right moment to strike, but quick-thinking agents spotted the weapon and arrested him.

Rogan speculated that the media’s portrayal of Trump as a villain might have contributed to these assassination attempts. “The rhetoric is that you’re Hitler, and in order to stop Hitler, you have to do whatever it takes,” Rogan said, referencing how Trump’s political opponents, including Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton, have often compared him to historical figures like Adolf Hitler. Rogan argued that such inflammatory language may incite individuals to resort to violence, believing that they’re taking justified action.

Despite the gravity of the dangers he faces, Trump maintained his characteristic bravado during the interview, even joking about the scar from the bullet. “It makes me a tougher guy,” he said with a grin, adding that while it wasn’t as severe as injuries suffered by UFC fighters or wrestlers, it was a mark of resilience nonetheless.

The interview between Rogan and Trump wasn’t just a testament to the former president’s comedic timing or survival from assassination attempts; it was also a reminder of Trump’s enduring influence. With millions of views pouring in within hours of the episode’s release, Trump’s ability to captivate audiences remains unmatched.

While some might be drawn to Trump’s policies, others are entertained by his sharp humor, a quality that even Rogan — with his decades of experience in comedy — can’t help but admire. As Rogan pointed out, Trump’s mix of politics and stand-up makes him a unique figure in American public life, one who knows how to keep an audience laughing, even in the face of serious challenges.
