The failed presidential candidate’s attack on Hegseth comes as the Trump administration actively works to deescalate tensions with Russia, even as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky refuses to engage in peace talks. Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is pushing for “boots on the ground” in Ukraine—something that warmonger Clinton likely wouldn’t oppose.
Gizmodo’s report, which cited anonymous sources, claimed the new policy under Trump’s administration represents a “drastic policy reversal.” The article stated, “It appears that the U.S. no longer considers Russia a significant cyber threat, according to multiple new reports.” It also added, “Under Trump’s new Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, U.S. Cyber Command has been ordered to ‘stand down from all planning against Russia, including offensive digital actions.’”
Clinton, of course, had nothing to say when her own policies toward Russia failed spectacularly during her tenure as Secretary of State. In fact, she even bragged in a 2014 NPR interview that “the reset worked”—only to contradict herself days later, telling CNN’s Fareed Zakaria that she was “the most skeptical” of the so-called reset policy. Flip-flopping is her specialty, after all.
The Reality: Clinton’s Record Is a Disaster
Clinton’s foreign policy failures are well-documented. From the botched Russia “reset” to her catastrophic handling of Libya and Benghazi, her record is riddled with blunders. Yet, she still has the audacity to lecture others on diplomacy and national security.
