The US House of Representatives made a historic vote in December to formally begin an inquiry into President Joe Biden’s possible impeachment.
An probe into whether Biden improperly benefited from his son’s overseas business transactions has been approved by the Republican-controlled chamber. Hunter Biden has declined to testify in private despite being invited.

Democrats attacked the decision almost once, but Washington Examiner blogger Byron York noted that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi initiated an impeachment investigation into former President Donald Trump a few years prior, doing something like to this.
“On October 15, 2019, three weeks after unilaterally declaring an impeachment inquiry, Speaker Pelosi, backed by Adam Schiff, insisted there was no requirement to hold an authorizing vote, and she would not hold an authorizing vote,” he tweeted.
Pelosi and MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell got into a heated argument because of Republican attempts to remove President Biden from office. The claims that Biden is involved in his son Hunter’s business endeavors are the main source of worry.
Pelosi maintains her position on Biden’s impeachment by downplaying the idea and emphasizing the administration’s noteworthy achievements.
Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC questioned Pelosi, “How do you feel about the push by the House Republicans—many of them—the Speaker certainly, you know, certainly flirted with this idea of impeachment proceedings against President Biden because of unfounded allegations that he was involved with his son Hunter’s businesses?”
Pelosi attempted to brush off the topic, already agitated, by waving her hands and saying, “Well, let’s just.” Even so, Mitchell went on.
The host added, “As you well know, you were very cautious about starting impeachment proceedings for the very reason that once you start in a special committee or the judiciary committee, it’s very hard to stop that process.”
Pelosi gave the impression that she was unwilling to respond to Mitchell’s query. In response, she said, “With all due respect to your question, this is frivolous; this is a diversionary tactic.”

The Democratic congressman continued by discussing Biden’s financial achievements, saying, “They just can’t stand the fact we have a job report of over nearly 200,000 jobs today, that unemployment is three-and-a-half percent, that 18 straight months of unemployment are under 4 percent.”
Pelosi added, “We’re talking about 13.4 million jobs created with Joe Biden in the White House and working with the Congressional Democrats.”
She said once more that the GOP is trying to hide these positive aspects of the Biden administration through impeachment, saying, “They have to change the subject, and they have nothing to offer the American people in terms of jobs and the rest. They talk about it, but then they change the subject when it’s time to deliver.”
She kept going: “It’s really sad. I wish the Republican Party would be—someone would take it back—that we’d have a real Republican Party. It’s up to them to decide what it is. But it shouldn’t be a cult.”
“It shouldn’t be a cult to somebody frivolous with the law and his puppets,” She ended by obviously mentioning Trump.
WATCH:
Republicans in the House are presently looking into the possibility of impeaching President Joe Biden. They are questioning his involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s choice to reject a congressional subpoena.
The heads of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees, James Comer (R-Ky.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), have written to the White House expressing their knowledge that the president was aware of his son’s plan to forego the subpoena and testify in private. They expressly ask for access to any documents and correspondence that were exchanged between Hunter Biden, his delegates, and the government in this letter.
“We are compelled to examine as part of our impeachment inquiry whether the President engaged in a conspiracy to obstruct a proceeding of Congress,” The letter is addressed to Edward Siskel, the White House Counsel.
Hunter Biden was summoned to testify before Republican-led investigating panels in December to answer questions.
Hunter Biden persisted on giving a public statement in place of the subpoena, defying it and denouncing the probe while protecting his father in speeches made on Capitol Hill.
Hunter Biden requested a speech in public because he was concerned that Republicans would selectively leak his testimony. Republican members of the House contended that he had to abide by the conditions of the subpoena and that Democratic protesters’ open rallies would have marred the proceedings.
Republicans have long claimed that Joe Biden gained money off of the international business endeavors of his family. They haven’t, however, provided any proof to support these allegations or link him to these transactions.
